Deep in the vast and boring mid-west you will find a group who has carved their groove in the regional music scene by taking loud musical nonsense and turning it into art. Along with giving people an unusual and explosive stage show, Cincinnati’s Foxy Shazam! has thrived to become a band that can take a non-directional sound and make it directional; using sloppy guitar, bass and piano leads they have organized noise to produce a catchy rhythmic tone. Foxy’s interesting and unparalleled sound is compiled with an array of punchy riffs, 50’s surf music and sounds that most would consider “lame” or “annoying”, touched up with boisterous and almost fairy-tale like vocals.

Foxy Shazam! is another example of a band being formed through the departure of a previous group. Which is what happened in the summer of 2004 when front man Eric along with Loren (guitar), Skylyn (bass) and John (percussion) decided to part ways with former group Train of Thought in order pursue ideas that no other band would want to use in order to fabricate a sound unlike other heavy acts. Within two weeks of the former split-up pianist/keyboardist Sky was asked to join the group to help put the finishing touches on their material before heading into the studio.

Foxy Shazam! is currently in the studio along with Brad Stenz, who is producing their yet to be released independent album (untitled). More will be added to the bio as the band progresses.
